USCG 2 Service Stripes (8–11 Years of Service)
This United States Coast Guard 2-Service Stripe Hashmark represents 8 to 11 years of honorable service. Each stripe is a symbol of commitment, dedication, and time spent serving in the Coast Guard. This hashmark features two scarlet red service stripes on a blue background, made with high-quality embroidery for a clean, professional appearance on the Service Dress Blue coat.
Correct Uniform Placement:
Sew on the left sleeve of the Service Dress Blue coat
Position the stripes at a 45 degree angle
The lower edge of the bottom stripe should be 2 inches above the cuff
Stripes must remain evenly spaced and aligned; two stripes are sewn together as a single piece
If additional stripes are added later, sew each new stripe 1/4 inch above the previous, maintaining the same angle and spacing
