• Eligibility period begins January 20, 2025 and continues until officially terminated.
• Qualifying service generally requires 30 consecutive or nonconsecutive days within the area of eligibility.
• The qualifying area includes land within 100 nautical miles of the U.S.-Mexico border in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and California.
• Adjacent U.S. waters extending up to 24 nautical miles from the shoreline are also included.
• Only one award of the MBDM is authorized. No subsequent award stars are authorized.
